We are proud to represent the premier manufacturers of these nuanced devices. This list includes Rollz Mobility International, One Step, Robooter and AGM.

AGM and RJMA will soon unveil a revolutionary lift transport system that will alleviate the risk of ergonomic injury suffered by caregivers at home or institutions.

Rollz Motion Rhythm

The Rollz Motion Rhythm was developed in the Netherlands by a company setting the standard for ergonomic engineering.

This rollator / walker is meant for people with specific neurological and physical issues such as Parkinson's, MS and strokes. Multiple digital stimuli are available to help the user take the first step, subsequent steps or maintain a walking rhythm.

Three Devices in One

The Rhythm is actually three mobility personas integrated into a convertible package. It is a rollator/walker providing essential physical exercise and gait training as it imparts disciplines resulting in new magnitudes of freedom and independence. It is also a wheelchair offering relief if walking becomes tiring. The occurrence of fatigue does not have to end an outing with family and friends.  The last and most spectacular iteration of the Rhythm is the available electric power drive. The user can now walk aided by the cues or self-direct a ride in the comfort of the wheelchair seat.

For Professionals

The Rhythm is the perfect remedial device for caregivers, physical therapists and other professionals supporting patient rehabilitation from neurological or mobility-impacting issues.

A recent study by the research group Assistive Technology from The Hague University of Applied Sciences shows that 80% of the Parkinson's patients who participated in a research study benefited from using the Rollz Rhythm.

Participants in the study initially displayed symptoms including stooped posture, masked expressions, retarded motor coordination, shuffling gait and freezing particularly when encountering substrate changes underfoot.  They were able to walk with stability, with a controlled gait and a new sensation of confidence. They could navigate through traffic cones intentionally set to create a challenging walking course.

How it Works

The Rhythm provides a stable kinematic support platform to resist tripping and falling and is equipped with three digitally modulated cues, a rhythmic, metronome sound signal, vibrating handles and a laser line projected on the ground.

The cues can be adjusted and personalized with nearly infinite combinations. For example, cues can be preset to be switched On or Off. in cyclical patterns and intensity levels configured to prevent habitation thus, allowing the cues to remain effective. These frequency drivers stabilize walking rhythmic gates and reduce the possibility of dangerous freezing.

The Working Elements

The three key elements of the " Rollz Motion Rhythm" have a dramatic, life changing impact on the user's existential mobility due to its unique features:

Laser Line: The line projected on the floor surface provides a visual prompt to support linger stride length and reduced fear of thresholds and surface risers.

Sound: The metronomic beep regulated step frequency creates a rhythmical, uninterrupted stride pattern. The variable audible frequency range selections accentuate the user's comfort and receptivity to the emitted resonances.

Vibration: Transduces driving the coordinated pace of the vibration, delivered through the handles, reinforce the rhythm created by sound, but delivered through an alternative sensory experience. This proves particularly effective in areas of outdoor, elevated ambient background noise. The "Rhythm" under carriage and frame design promote its use in the outdoors for maximum physical activity.

Gait and balance stability combined with more upright posture further impacts step length increase and locomotion fluency.

Broken fall cycles and resulting restoration of confidence have a profound effect on overall health and wellbeing of the users.

For individuals at home

The Rollz Motion Rhythm is serving many individuals to complement their formal care regimens.

It is their personal "Smart" mechanical mobility companion that extends elusive independence, dignity and positivity. Users walk comfortably and safely, without fear despite issues which threaten life's qualities.

The Rhythm will accompany them when leaving home. Easy foldability for fit in nearly any car and public transport including airliners. The LI batteries are qualified for airliner entry.

The U-Step 2 by InStep Mobility

The U-Step was developed by Johnathan Miller for his mother. Its configuration reflects the product development which was very personally directed by Mom's needs. She had suffered from a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy labeled "CMT" which was having a retrograding effect on her walking abilities.  The prototype U-Step was constructed of wood and was crude. But it provided the mobility augmentation that sublimated her symptoms and extended her independence and dignity.

Although a bespoke design, health care professionals recognized its potential benefit for a more generalized audience including Parkinsons, MS and other neurotological and physical mobility - impacting issues.

The U-Step is a walker/rollator that includes programmable audible and laser cues. It is however the frame and mechanical design that distinguishes it from any other device of its type. Its embedded technology is subtle and very effective which requires diligent unpacking to appreciate.

Every feature has an organic benefit

  • Maximum stability: the U-shaped frame surrounds the user to prevent falls
  • Six wheels assure support in all directions and welded tubular steel construction provides a rugged, rigid structural platform
  • Maneuverability: The main wheels are located at the middle of the base. This effectively reduces the wheelbase providing a 29" turning radius vs 50" radius with conventional designs. The user can maneuver intuitively into any tight spaces as if walking without the device.
  • Easy walking: Spring suspended front wheels glide over obstacles and uneven surfaces. This isolates the user from sudden jolts and the need to lift the device over impediments.
  • Control: Reverse braking actuates the brakes upon release of the brake lever. This provides convenience and safety by applying and maintaining the brakes in a park position until the lever is actuated. Transferring from a seated position is easy because the U-Step will not move away. If gate freezing or a fall is imminent, the U-Step will counter these emergencies by remaining solidly in position.
  • Control: Rolling resistance. Adjustable rolling resistance counters the feeling that the device is getting away. It offers further stability by maintaining a comfortable and predictable moving resistance even when descending a downgrade.

  • Laser and Sound Cues: Laser light and modulated audible ton helps to get the user started, normalizes gate and increase stride length.

  • Easily transported: Folds easily for transport in any car. Can be lifted without bending or stooping.

For Professionals

The U-Step is the perfect multiple purpose device for any professional practice. Electronic cues simulate walking for patients requiring simulated sensory inputs and the platform provides unparalleled stability and safety. Patients quickly become secure with its intuitive structure allowing further therapeutic modalities to begin.
For Individuals at home

It could be argued that the U-Step 2 should be the universal walker/rollator.
This includes users who are not suffering from neurological or severe physical walking impairments but simply require a stable platform to augment their standing and walking acumen.

Cheap, ubiquitous rollator /walkers do little to improve walking abilities. They are in fact dangerous, providing minimum ability to check falls and often contribute to tripping and falls.

Other models include:

  • Platform Model for users with stooped posture and weak upper bodies
  • Press Down Model for users with limited arm and hand strength.

Burritt Lift by AGM, available summer 2025

Designed for professional and lay person caregivers at home or medical centers. Advanced digital and analog algorithms combined with applied AI principles are employed to provide a safe seamless patient handling experience.

The Burritt Lift was originally developed for an individual who suffered a catastrophic decline in general health, motor skills, walking and balance. Determined to maintain his independence, he collaborated with an engineering group, well versed in electromechanically powered mechanisms. A prototype unit provided him with necessary supplemental mobility and movement adding years to his life. He was able to maintain independence despite his retrograding health condition.

The new Burritt Lift will allow others to experience the life enhancing advantages provided by this unique device.

The Burritt Lift improves the lifting and movement procedures for both the caregiver and their patient.

It combines two main functions into a single compact device.

  • Powered patient lift
  • Power transport wheelchair

Lifting System

The lifting system employs electronically controlled electro servo motors. There are no hydraulics resulting in smooth precise, modulated lifting regardless of patient weight, lift or decent direction and the amount of required movement. Two planes of motion, (X and Y axis) have dedicated actuator drives.

No Controls to Operate

  • The Burritt Lift does not have imposing controls to raise or lower the patient. There are no pushbuttons, joysticks, or any other PMI (person/machine interface) devices.

  • The caregiver raises or lowers the patient by physically moving the lift in the desired direction. The patient is essentially weightless regardless of actual weight. Eliminating conventional controls allows the caregiver to gently move the patient with the most personal attention. Conventional lifts are like construction cranes. The Burrit Lift is a bionic extension of the caregivers themselves.

Eliminate Ergonomic Injury

  • Even difficult procedures normally demanding extreme lifting strength and dexterity, too often resulting in debilitating caregiver ergonomic injuries are eliminated. The lifting system only allows movement in response to the caregiver's physical command movements. It always defeats into a locked status thus negating sporadic patient movement that could harm the caregiver and patient.

Transport

  • The Burritt Lift integrates with a proprietary powered wheelchair undercarriage. Omni directional power wheels provide all movement, steering and braking functions. Omni directional wheels enable the Burritt Lift to travers paved and unpaved surfaces and clear obstacles including curbs. Omni directional control is precise and intuitive. It eliminates differential steering which requires constant user inputs resulting in sharp side to side motions.

  • The Burritt Lift turns 360 degrees. A joystick mounted on a control module can be positioned by the caregiver for maximum comfort and convenience.

  • In addition to the omni directional wheels and four additional support wheels, the Burritt Lift employs six powered outriggers which are deployed automatically and instantaneously during lifting cycles. Patient weight and lift directions are processed by the control system resulting in the selection of the correct and appropriate outrigger sets, extension distances from the vehicle body and angular position.

  • Load and angle sensors continuously monitor lift configurations in real time. Any deviation from safe configuration envelopes results in cessation of the procedure and an automatically guided re - capture of a safe prudent format.

Familiar Patient Lift Apparatus

The Burritt Lift accepts standard approved slings and belts which are familiar to professional caregivers.

For Medical Professionals

  • The Burritt Lift is applicable to all medical environments. It provides a safe, comfortable means to lift and transport patients. It provides nearly seamless transfer movement resulting in greater patient comfort and dignity.
  • Using the Burritt Lift isolates caregivers from the hazards of lifting and handling. The risk of experiencing life altering ergonomic injuries is significantly reduced or eliminated.

For Individuals at Home

A Compelling Mission for the Sandwich Generation

  • The Burritt Lift is the perfect partner for home caregivers, both professionals and nonprofessionals. After training, family members, friends and others will have the means to care for loved ones at home, possibly eliminating the need to separate them from care in their own homes. The Burritt Lift will serve the needs of people regardless of age and circumstances.
  • The issues of caring for children growing beyond the physical handling of parents of the parents aging to a stage that precludes them from caring for adult children is no longer an issue.

  • Safety and ease of operation assured by the AI guided control suite which monitors and modulates every movement operation is always in play to protect the patient and operator
